Rageborn is an incredibly strong trait
The biggest advantage of Rageborn is its flexibility in team composition and item selection. Before reaching level 8, you will need to continuously “pivot” between traits like Marksman, Duelist, and Guardian… to ensure you secure victories. Professional Teamfight Tactics players possess the ability to observe and adapt their team compositions extremely quickly. This allows them to maximize the strength of this trait in the mid-game phase.

Not stopping there, Rageborn also has great potential in countering opponents’ compositions. Units like Vladimir, Pyke, or Twisted Fate are excellent at holding items to counter since they can be placed in any position on the battlefield. With a well-timed use of the Blade of the Ruined King or the Silent Cloak, you can easily secure a top 1 position. It can be said that Rageborn is extremely strong and an effective rank climbing strategy at this moment.
Going “All-in” at level 7 is a strategy worth trying
In patch 11.5, Riot made a small system adjustment by increasing the appearance rate of 3-cost units at level 7 to 58%. This move was initially aimed at reducing the likelihood of rolling a 4-cost unit too early. However, it has created a new meta where professional players frequently go “all-in” at level 7 to roll for 3-cost units. Champions like Kennen, Sivir, Veigar, or Akali are highly sought after during this phase.

This playstyle ensures that players have a very strong mid-game phase and retain a lot of health. Remember that gold can be regained but lost health cannot be recovered. Additionally, this strategy helps you eliminate dangerous opponents like the Fortune team very quickly. You will make Fortune players lose a lot of health whenever they lose, so they won’t have enough time to turn the game around.
Butchers are not an “unstoppable” composition
With the presence of powerful champions like Olaf, Samira, and Tryndamere, the Butcher trait is considered extremely dominant and can easily secure victories. Some players are even willing to play Fortune at the beginning to save gold and items to build a Butcher team. However, Butchers are not as “unstoppable” as many imagine, and they are no longer the top priority for pro players when building their compositions.

The main reason Butchers are no longer dominant is that their key champions are too easily countered. The rise of many compositions relying on “tankiness” and area control to secure victories has rendered Olaf and Tryndamere ineffective. Moreover, these compositions deal too much magic damage, making the 100% evasion effect from Samira’s skill less meaningful. Therefore, building around the Butcher trait is a relatively risky strategy in this version.
