Dragon Mage
Although Shi Oh Yu has been nerfed in patch 12.15, that’s not enough to make Dragon Mage disappear. In fact, with other key champions being nerfed even more heavily, a composition that is easy to build, strong from start to finish, and flexible in choosing carries like Dragon Mage becomes even stronger. Besides Shi Oh Yu, Anivia is also an incredibly powerful carry with magic damage items like Morello’s Evil Tome and Archangel’s Staff.

Not stopping there, the Dragon Mage composition has another strength in that it has quite a few empty slots to be flexible in champion selection in the late game. You can easily bring in strong characters like Yasuo and Bard to supplement damage and crowd control for the composition. The rare weakness of this composition is that you will have to compete quite fiercely with other players as the pick rate for Dragon Mage is currently very high.
Sharpshooter – Brawler
In the previous patch, the Sharpshooter – Brawler composition almost completely vanished when Varus received a significant nerf at 3 stars. However, in patch 12.15, this composition is making a strong comeback even though the main carry (Varus) has not been buffed. The main reason for this is that Ezreal and Twitch have been buffed, helping the Sharpshooter composition maintain health much better in the early game.

The above reason will help the Sharpshooter composition gain a lot of gold thanks to winning streaks in the mid-game, making the process of rolling for Varus 3 stars much easier. Moreover, the buff to Xayah will enhance the damage output of the Sharpshooter team significantly in the late game and no longer rely entirely on Varus. Therefore, if you want to use a familiar composition to climb ranks in the new patch, Sharpshooter – Brawler is an extremely suitable choice.
Corki and Friends
Essentially, Corki’s situation is quite similar to Shi Oh Yu, as the nerfs from Riot are too small to make this champion disappear entirely. In fact, with the flexibility in building compositions, Corki and friends become very unpredictable. You can choose Idas, SyFen, or even Shyvana as the main tank while Corki still deals a lot of damage from the backline.

Indeed, Corki’s interaction with critical strike damage has been reduced, but this piece still serves as a Festival champion with the ability to deal additional magic damage. Therefore, that nerf has almost no effect, and Corki remains too strong in the current patch 12.15. With Riot Games not typically making major adjustments before mid-season updates, Corki will likely continue to dominate Teamfight Tactics for a long time to come.
