Zeus “throws cold water” on fan expectations while sharing thoughts about Faker
After winning the First Stand 2025 championship, expectations for Zeus have surged. The top laner of Hanwha Life Esports also demonstrates that without Faker by his side, at least for now, he is still doing well and can still win more titles, both domestically and internationally. In fact, some fans even believe that Zeus could rise to become Faker’s successor, even the G.O.A.T of the League of Legends scene when the “Demon King” retires. But Zeus does not think so.

In a recent interview, it can be said that Zeus has shared frankly but also “threw cold water” on fan expectations. Specifically, Zeus stated: “I have had a wonderful career up to now. I still have many things to accomplish. As for being the ‘successor to Faker,’ to be honest, I don’t think I can surpass Faker. I just focus on doing my best at all times.”

Zeus’s assertion about Faker and audience expectations is “brutal but true”
Zeus’s sharing is extremely realistic, as clearly compared to Faker’s great and monumental career, Zeus is just at the beginning stages. In fact, if we consider the influence, it is clear: T1 can accept parting ways with any player who no longer wants to stay with the team, but they will always do everything possible to keep Faker.

Not to mention, the First Stand 2025 is also just a tournament considered as mainly a kickoff, with a limited time and number of teams. Therefore, if Zeus truly wants to become a legend of League of Legends, beyond just titles, the superstar born in 2004 still has to prove his influence. And with that issue, Zeus cannot achieve it overnight.
