With the recent victory against KT Rolster in the LCK Summer 2024 round-robin matches, T1 has ended their streak of three consecutive losses against various opponents. It can be said that since the Esports World Cup 2024, T1 has shown a disappointing face. While Hanwha Life Esports is a strong opponent in good form, the loss to BNK FearX has no justification. Nobody understands why T1 could be so careless to drop points against a weaker opponent. During this losing streak, with a strategy focused heavily on the top lane, Zeus unintentionally became the target of much criticism as T1 struggled.

However, in the match against KT, Zeus played very well, and in both of T1’s winning games, he made plays that can be considered “decisive” to take down KT. Notably, there was a moment when Zeus, using the champion K’Sante, pulled Bdd, who was the focus of resource allocation for KT, into a position favorable for T1 to secure a kill. Zeus’s calm handling created the foundation for T1 to regain all advantages and then effectively “snowball” the game. Nevertheless, Zeus also shared the reason that helped him maintain his composure after the losing streak.

In the match against KT, he made crucial plays that helped his team gain an advantage, such as bringing Bdd to his teammates' position in game 3

The top laner born in 2004 stated: “Honestly, I didn’t think I had just lost three consecutive games. I was actually thinking in my mind that the number should be higher than that. But it turned out to be just three games, and at that time, my mindset was relieved a lot.”

In reality, perhaps Zeus himself is aware of his team’s losing streak, especially when in the loss to HLE, he had virtually no impact in both games. Therefore, his light-hearted interview responses may indicate that Zeus has relieved a lot of pressure after the victory against KT. More importantly, he performed well, speaking up at the right moments when his teammates needed him, even without getting any POG points.

After the match against KT, T1 will face DRX, a team that can be considered the weakest in these crucial two weeks for the 2023 World Championship champions. The upcoming matches will be even more challenging, with opponents being Dplus KIA and Gen.G. Zeus will still be under a lot of expectations, and he probably hopes to bring victories to his team as well as a ticket to advance to the upcoming playoffs.
