Until now, the name Zeros is likely still etched in the minds of Vietnamese League of Legends fans. However, while in the past, people remembered the former SBTC Esports star for his talent and stunning plays in the top lane, now, mentioning Zeros is synonymous with penalties. Just due to speaking out of turn, Zeros ended his career while he was at the peak. And in the same 2021 season, his name has been mentioned many times after Riot’s global ban, but mostly due to this player being involved in dramas related to his former team GAM Esports and recently with EGO from CERBERUS Esports.

After the drama with EGO, Zeros has significantly reduced his posts on personal accounts. At one point, the former SE star even went “off the radar” and only announced his activities in private groups. However, recently, a new post appeared on Zeros’ personal page. Specifically, Zeros shared an image of an account named “DeLuaZeros” with a rank of Challenger. This account even reached rank 1 Challenger in the Vietnamese server. The post included Zeros’ heartfelt plea to lift his ban so he could compete again.

However, right below the comments, the VCS community erupted with contrasting opinions. Zeros’ fans were quite surprised by this news but also hoped VCS would give the former SE star a chance to make a comeback. On the other hand, many opinions suggested that Zeros was the one who caused his own downfall. Some even speculated that Zeros borrowed an account to create content since a familiar account of Zeros named “UnBan Me Please” had only just reached the rank of Master.

However, regardless of whether Zeros truly reached Challenger or not, it probably won’t affect Riot’s decision. This publisher has never announced a rule that when a player with a global ban reaches Challenger, they would have their penalty lifted. Past cases like Jensen or Tyler1 demonstrated genuine remorse. Meanwhile, since the global ban, Zeros has repeatedly been involved in dramas unrelated to him.
And perhaps, if Zeros has truly reached rank 1 Challenger in Vietnam, it might only provide him with some entertaining moments with no rewards. The prospect of Zeros returning to professional competition still seems very, very far away.
