If you had to find a name ready to replace the “overpowered” champion Akali in League of Legends (LoL), Zeri might be the first champion that comes to mind for the community. Right now, this champion from Zaun is very popular in the professional LoL arena across almost all regions worldwide.

However, with Riot’s “200 years of design experience,” Zeri is seen as a champion that is too strong, to the point of being out of control. Most teams will prioritize a ban or pick for Zeri as their first choice. For example, SBTC Esports (SE) from Vietnam (VCS) will always ban Zeri, no matter who the opponent is.

But perhaps players still haven’t fully grasped how terrifying Zeri’s power can be in professional matches. Recently, in just 24 hours, from July 30 (Vietnam time) to July 31 (Vietnam time), the LoL community witnessed this champion wreaking havoc in various major and minor professional LoL tournaments.
Specifically, in just a mere 24 hours, Zeri achieved a total of 4 “1 vs. 5” (penta kill) feats (both official and unofficial). Notably, these performances appeared in various tournaments from different regions, including LCK (Korea), LCS (North America), and TCL (Turkey).
Not only the audience but even experts, such as the legendary former North American ADC – Doublelift, expressed their surprise at Zeri’s power. Additionally, as previously known, Zeri has undergone 12 changes in just over 6 months since her launch – a number that is also a rare record in the LoL community.

However, it seems that at this time, Riot still has not found a way to limit this champion’s power. Thus, teams can only ban or pick this champion before Zeri falls into the hands of the opponent.
