In the history of League of Legends, many World Championship champions have been celebrated. Among them, there are quite a few players who are especially remarkable. For example, Faker is the player with the most World Championship titles (4 times), or Duke is the first player to win the World Championship with two different teams (SKT T1, Invictus Gaming). However, both Faker and Duke play in key positions that can single-handedly change the course of a match. Therefore, the fact that BeryL, the first Support player to win the World Championship with two different teams, is even more special. Not to mention, one of those teams has always been considered a “point farm” in the LCK, even at the time they ascended to the world stage.

However, recently, BeryL has caused great concern among fans. Specifically, during the match between KT Rolster and OKSavingsBank BRION, BeryL was seen looking extremely pale, his face seemingly devoid of any strength. Moreover, while the whole team came out to greet the fans after the match, BeryL could not move along with the other members. He could only stand and pack his belongings, before limping back to the waiting room behind the stage.
According to some information shared by LCK fans, BeryL just underwent abdominal surgery and based on his appearance, it is clear that the Support player who has won the World Championship twice has not fully recovered. This has left LCK fans worried for BeryL and upset with KT. After all, KT is also regarded as having a good youth training system. KT had even brought a youth team to compete in the LCK once last year. With an opponent like OKBRO, there was no reason for this team to continue to overexert BeryL as they did.

Currently, KT has not provided any response regarding BeryL’s health condition or personnel plans for upcoming matches, at least for the remaining match this week against T1. With an OKBRO, BeryL was already tense and in pain like that. No one can guarantee that things won’t be worse when facing the mighty T1 ahead.
