Recently, an incident involving SofM and his WBG teammates occurred, which once again sparked controversy within the fan community of this team. Specifically, the owner of WBG unexpectedly made a controversial post on social media platform Weibo.
With WBG currently in poor spirits, the president’s remarks truly angered many fans of the team. Immediately, a series of comments opposing the president’s behavior of “giving up before playing” appeared under the post. So much so that this individual had to delete the controversial post afterward.
But not long after the old post, this president made a new post that was even more infuriating. Specifically, in the new post, he took the opportunity to “toot his own horn” while expressing indifference to the opinions of WBG fans:
“I don’t consider myself the owner; it’s you (the fans) who call me that. We need to take care of the players’ food and clothing. We need to know if they eat well and sleep well. We have more important things to worry about than the opinions of fans. Every time we lose, we see fans criticize the whole team. People say the team lacks quality, lacks discipline. It doesn’t matter because I’m the owner; I don’t see a problem with it.”
This has made the WBG fan community genuinely upset. Because disrespecting fans is one thing, but this president also fails to show any encouragement for the players. In fact, he seems to have an attitude of “tooting his own horn” when mentioning the obvious responsibilities of a team owner.
