As a primordial evil entity, Fiddlesticks is a demon in the literal sense, hiding under the guise of a scarecrow. He has no organs, no brain, and no voice; the sounds he produces are merely echoes of those he copied from humans, the unfortunate victims who scream before he devours them.

Therefore, when all of Fiddlesticks’ voice lines were released, they sounded like a chaotic compilation of incomprehensible and jumbled phrases, akin to screams emanating from hell. This complexity and terror led many to believe that Fiddlesticks’ sounds were generated by some voice modulation software and that no human could perform the voice-over.

However, the truth is quite different; all of Fiddlesticks’ voice was created by a young voice actor named Kellen Goff. He has also lent his voice to many famous anime such as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Kimetsu no Yaiba, One Punch Man… and just a few days ago, he uploaded a video sharing his process of voicing Fiddlesticks. Kellen always warns everyone that his method is extremely dangerous and advises them not to try it at home.
Kellen Goff: “People ask me how I create Fiddlesticks’ voice. The truth is, what I do isn’t very safe for everyone’s health. I have been practicing voice acting for 12 years, and I recorded Fiddlesticks in a safe environment that wouldn’t harm anyone, if at all.
You have to understand that the throat is a type of muscle, but it can be easily damaged if you push it too hard. What I do relies on skills of breath compression and vocal cord control; specifically, I position my tongue at the upper right corner near my throat, which helps create sounds like soft whistles. The voice produced resembles two people talking, the whistling wind, or an old creaky gate moving.
To achieve this takes a lot of effort, and you can’t just do it overnight. The voices made while inhaling cause the vocal cords to dry out very quickly, and I have to keep hydrating; otherwise, my throat will be extremely sore for long periods of time. I advise everyone not to try to perform for more than a minute; it could have very negative effects on your health.”

Kellen Goff is currently one of the top voice actors in America, having lent his voice to many blockbuster games such as Smite, Warhammer 40000, MapleStory, anime, and animated films. Perhaps for this guy, voicing Fiddlesticks in League of Legends is the most challenging and dangerous task in capturing the sinister essence of this champion.
According to what Riot Games announced, the reworked Fiddlesticks will officially be available to players worldwide in version 10.7 (April 1st, U.S. time). Soon we will have to hear the excruciatingly terrifying sounds of this evil scarecrow.
