“Vietnamese Music Catastrophe” Surprises in Gen.G’s Clip
Recently, Gen.G’s official TikTok page released a clip introducing their roster for the new season. Notably, to connect with audiences from various countries, the team used several music snippets accompanied by flags of the respective nations. However, what caught attention was that in the music considered the “new catastrophe of Vietnamese music,” Gen.G used a song dubbed the “music catastrophe” – Pickleball.
Although they didn’t use the entire song or the familiar intro, just a brief listen was enough for VCS fans to recognize it immediately. Particularly, the content referenced also discusses competition in sports. Perhaps this is the biggest reason for the “catastrophic” song’s appearance in the official clip of a top LCK team like Gen.G.

VCS Fans Surprised by Gen.G’s Quirkiness
On the forums of League of Legends Vietnam, many fans initially doubted it was a fan account created for content. But when they realized it was the official Gen.G account, they were even more surprised by the team’s quirky media approach. However, if we consider the purpose, it’s clear that Gen.G has done well.

The song Pickleball has received mixed opinions, but at least it has achieved a certain level of popularity. Therefore, if carefully chosen and edited, it can effectively convey a message and capture attention, which the Gen.G clip has proven.

Over many seasons, Gen.G’s media team has always faced controversies regarding their content creation policies. However, this time, the team is showing at least that they are on the right track as their clip has garnered more attention from one of the regions with the largest audience for League of Legends in the world.
