League of Legends is in its 11th season and has built a vast community of gamers across many countries and continents worldwide. Particularly, in terms of numbers and enthusiasm for Riot’s game, Vietnam can confidently say it is on par with powerhouses like China and South Korea. The reason Vietnam has yet to achieve high success on the international stage is largely that esports has not received the same level of investment as in other regions.
However, Vietnamese gamers do not shy away from surprising their international friends. Professional players like SofM competing in the LPL or teams like GAM Esports have made a significant and impressive impact in the eyes of foreign experts and the League of Legends community. Additionally, there are plenty of gamers whose achievements sometimes surpass those of international professional players.

Recently, a player with the in-game name “Deep Inner Calm” has astonished the League of Legends community by reaching over 15.5 million mastery points with the champion Teemo. Not only does this prove that he is a long-time one-champ Teemo player, but the mastery points he achieved far exceed the current highest level held by a player on the EUW server named GeT CoN TRollED, who has over 15.2 million mastery points with the champion Heimerdinger.

According to some gamers, it may be because League of Legends in Vietnam is played through the Garena server, so Riot has not updated information about the player Deep Inner Calm. This has also happened with Dia1, when his record of 39 solo kills at VCS 2020 was not acknowledged, even though that number far exceeded Marin’s 31 solo kills.

The record of Deep Inner Calm once again affirms the try-hard spirit of the Vietnamese gaming community for League of Legends in the eyes of international friends. At the same time, many hope that Riot will give a more deserving assessment of the efforts of the VCS region in establishing its position in the global League of Legends landscape.
