For the majority of League of Legends players, reaching the Challenger rank is a proud achievement as it is very difficult to attain. To climb to this rank, players need to possess high skills, a deep understanding of League of Legends, and a bit of luck to encounter good teammates. Therefore, a Vietnamese female gamer has recently caused quite a stir in the international community by successfully reaching Challenger on 2 different accounts in the Western European server.

Specifically, this female gamer is named Claudia “Superelchi” Hoang (Vietnamese name: Vi Hoang) and she is currently residing in Germany. She is a long-time League of Legends player and has a deep love for Riot’s game since she began playing in 2012. Notably, Claudia’s love for League of Legends originated from her home server when during a visit to her hometown in Vietnam, she saw her cousin playing this game. At that time, Claudia found League of Legends fascinating and has been attached to it ever since.

Regarding her climb to Challenger, Claudia shared that she achieved this accomplishment during Season 6, although at that time she was just “playing for fun”. At the beginning of 2024, Claudia decided to set a “tryhard” goal when climbing Challenger on a new account. And just after a few months, she achieved this goal and made the community buzz with having 2 Challenger accounts.

Additionally, Claudia surprised the community even more by not choosing beautiful female champions or cute characters. “I used to be an Aatrox player, but after the rework, I felt like I lost interest in this champion. Currently, my main champion is Vel’Koz because I enjoy the calculations when casting spells. The feeling of using Q to outsmart high-ranked players is truly exciting,” Claudia shared in one of her interviews.

Not stopping there, she is also a die-hard fan of a marksman with a strong connection to Levi and Vietnamese League of Legends. Specifically, Claudia shared that Hans Sama is her biggest idol and he plays extremely well in ranked matches. “Playing alongside outstanding players like Hans Sama is fantastic because we can carry the whole game together. Additionally, it helps me learn macro strategies very quickly,” Claudia excitedly shared about Hans Sama.

Besides climbing ranks, Claudia also harbors the ambition to step into the Esports scene as she is currently competing for a semi-professional team in Germany. According to Claudia, she will have the opportunity to face female players from major organizations like G2, MADKOI, or Vitality at the Equal Esports Cup. This is a great opportunity for her to showcase top-tier Vel’Koz performances to the audience.
