VCS 2025 Could Have Many Surprises
As we know, starting in 2025, several top teams from VCS such as GAM Esports, Vikings Esports, and Team Whales will participate in the LCP for the APAC region. There have been many concerns expressed as, alongside this, some teams have been rumored to “disband.” Rumors are swirling everywhere, leaving the Vietnamese League of Legends audience quite confused. However, in a recent move, Team Secret, which had been rumored to disband, unexpectedly might make a comeback.

TS’s “turnaround” has given VCS fans renewed hope. In fact, VCS might still kick off in 2025. According to Riot’s principles, teams must compete, and only those with high rankings can continue in the LCP. Meanwhile, teams with low rankings must give way to more deserving names. Moreover, Riot likely doesn’t want a merger to completely eliminate a region, especially when VCS has always shown more potential than other Minor and wildcard regions.

What Future Awaits VCS?
In reality, it is almost certain that new names will join the largest professional League of Legends tournament in Vietnam. This is an entirely positive and necessary signal for VCS to develop. Furthermore, fans need real fresh winds across all teams rather than focusing on a few wealthy and famous teams while the others lag behind without a backup plan.

Moreover, in 2025, VCS will be invited to participate in KeSPA. With TS’s unexpected comeback, it’s possible that “Hidden Religion” will be chosen to participate, as GAM, VKE, and TW have already joined the LCP. This is also a good opportunity for TS to sharpen their skills against international-class players.

Given the positive information, VCS fans have every right to hope. Not only is there an opportunity to witness new faces, but it also ensures that VCS will continue to have the chance to develop, even when the teams with large fanbases are no longer present.
