Recently, the League of Legends community in Vietnam and some regions in Asia (such as LJL, PCS…) unexpectedly encountered the Vanguard error. This error prevents players from performing any in-game activities, even blocking access to the game client. Notably, this issue first appeared for the League of Legends community. At that time, there were opinions that Riot’s implementation of Vanguard in League of Legends not only failed to bring any benefits but also negatively impacted the player experience.

After the previous incident for some time, recently, on June 18 (Vietnam time), the League of Legends community once again encountered the Vanguard issue. Notably, this time it was not limited to a specific area, but the entire League of Legends realm experienced the glitch. On several international forums, players on the North American (LCS) and European (LEC) servers reported the Vanguard error. Keywords related to this incident also trended on social media X with over 12.7k posts.

Immediately, Riot had to issue an urgent announcement regarding the incident. Accordingly, Riot acknowledged that they have not yet identified the specific issue but are actively working to resolve it as soon as possible. However, many players have been affected by this error, including being unable to access the game or losing rank while playing. Additionally, some other gamers are disheartened and continue to criticize Riot, especially since this publisher recently released a very expensive HoL collection while such issues continue to occur.

Currently, Riot in Vietnam has announced that they will not deduct LP points and will provide additional compensation for players. We will continue to update if there are any further developments.
