Recently, LNG Esports (LNG) has defeated EDward Gaming (EDG) to secure the next ticket for the LPL region to the World Championship (Worlds) 2023. The remaining spot will be contested among EDG, Top Esports (TES), and Weibo Gaming (WBG). With stars like Rookie, JackeyLove, and Tian, TES was expected to grab this final ticket.
However, right in their first match of the regional qualifiers, TES suffered a bitter defeat against WBG with a final score of 2-3. After the match, Tian was the name that received the most mixed opinions. This was due to his unconvincing performance in the deciding game that led to TES’s defeat.
Nevertheless, some fans still sent their congratulations to Tian since he no longer has the chance to compete internationally this year. They believe that if Tian brings his current low form to Worlds 2023, TES would surely be eliminated early. However, the lack of composure in crucial moments led to their inability to secure a spot in Worlds 2023. Who knows, TES might debut a completely new lineup next season to overcome these recent failures.
