At the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, Vietnamese League of Legends player Zeros from GAM Esports stirred excitement as the team continuously posted images of him learning Chinese. This signaled that the “top laner better than Khan” from VCS was preparing to join the LPL. There were even images suggesting that Zeros had already gone to China and was training at the gaming house of Victory Five.

However, when the pandemic that everyone knows about broke out in China and entry into this country became impossible, Zeros’s transfer also fell silent. It wasn’t until the second phase of VCS Spring 2020 that Zeros appeared in the GAM Esports lineup, making it clear that the idea of “The Demon King” joining the LPL was not to be.

However, at the present time, Zeros’s inability to join Victory Five seems to be more of a blessing than a curse for him. There’s a saying that “numbers don’t lie,” and the fact that Victory Five has failed to secure a single victory in the LPL shows that this team is incredibly weak and struggles to compete in China’s top tournament.
More notably, among the four major leagues worldwide, including LCK – Korea, LPL – China, LEC – Europe, and LCS – North America, Victory Five is the only team that has not won a single match. Even “sinking ships” like Griffin, Counter Logic Gaming, and Lining Esports have managed to secure 3-4 wins, while V5’s record of 0-14 is truly dismal.

In reality, even if Zeros had joined Victory Five, it would have been difficult to change the team’s results as the entire V5 roster has performed poorly since the start of the season. With just one week left in the LPL, facing Vici Gaming or Bilibili Gaming may still be too much for V5, and they are likely to finish the spring season without a single win. In contrast, Zeros and GAM Esports are calmly awaiting the upcoming finals against Team Flash.
