Udyr Generously Receives a 5 Movement Speed Boost, Community Mocks – ‘Balance is Great, Riot Games’

Just hours ago, Riot Games released details on the 10.10 patch, and unsurprisingly, the community is throwing shade.

The 10.9 patch for League of Legends was heavily criticized by gamers due to its numerous unreasonable changes. It was thought that this was the only mistake, and Riot Games would correct it, but the 10.10 patch has been met with even harsher backlash from players due to its very confusing changes that League of Legends is about to face.

Riot Mark Yetter: “Overview of patch 10.10 with some changes; we will have more updates this week regarding changes to the mid and bot lanes that the team is currently testing.”

Decreased Power

Lux Support’s changes will be postponed to patch 10.11.

It seems that even Riot realizes they have pampered Lux a bit too much, so they postponed the buff for her to the next patch

Perhaps the most nonsensical adjustment that makes players feel the most humorous is that Udyr, a champion that is extremely “outdated” and rarely played, gets buffed but only with an additional 5 movement speed. Meanwhile, strong champions on the nerf list received very light adjustments, exemplified by Maokai, where the additional 10 energy from Q is nearly meaningless.

Hey guys, Udyr is going to be super strong with this buff.

That’s right, Udyr gets a full 5 movement speed boost.

The community continuously mocks the fact that Udyr received a full 5 movement speed boost

Yes, another buff that is practically nothing +5 movement speed for Udyr.

Nerfing Diana is “great”.

LMFAO this has to be a joke.

For sure it’s a full 5 movement speed boost, guys.

The last thing Irelia needs is more damage.

Udyr with 5 Movement Speed, great.

Is this a joke?

I can’t understand, champions like Ekko, Lee Sin, and Olaf remain untouched, but Kayn cannot have over a 49% win rate. I know it’s just a small nerf, but the last passive buff was not really a buff, you just forced him to transform by the 10-minute mark, and everything else is nearly ineffective.

Because Lee Sin is like Yasuo’s version in the jungle. Riot loves champions that attract their younger player base. Even professional players are complaining about Lee Sin, but Riot insists that champion is “balanced” when he can miss all his skills but still kill you or give a kill to his teammates with just one R.

Great, so Diana and Maokai are still overpowered, just accept it, guys.

I think the nerf to Maokai is somewhat acceptable because that’s the most spammed skill for clearing minions.

Oh my god, this nerf will make Diana disappear from the meta, you know.

XD look at the buff for Nidalee, she can now oneshot you from a screen away, honestly, the best nerf is probably for Katarina.

The most impactful nerf is probably Katarina's

I don’t know if Riot accidentally or intentionally forgot that MSI was canceled; normally in previous patches before such a big event, adjustments aren’t too drastic and only tweak a few numbers. However, this year MSI 2020 has been canceled, and the updates in patches 10.9 and possibly 10.10 have not satisfied players.

Riot is balancing the game as if 10.10 is the version for MSI competition, while this event has been canceled

Champions that deserve heavier nerfs like Diana, Maokai, etc., received too little adjustment, while Udyr, who should have been buffed more, only received… a 5 movement speed boost. It seems we will have to wait for future patches to see significant changes in the meta.
