New developments surrounding the T1 – Doran – Zeus transfer have left many stunned
On the morning of November 20, the League of Legends community in Korea and around the world was shaken when new details emerged regarding the drama in the Zeus – Doran transfer involving T1. Specifically, Korean media reported that T1 was “messed with” by Zeus’s representatives, and they almost could not recruit any sufficiently skilled Top Laner.

According to Naver, T1 had prepared a lucrative contract for Zeus, and the top priority was still to retain ZOFGK. However, the player’s representatives deliberately did not negotiate decisively. In fact, some negotiations were only conducted over the phone.
Notably, T1 was mentally prepared for the possibility of Zeus leaving, with Kiin as the backup choice. However, Zeus’s representatives are said to be from the same company (only different on paper – according to Naver) as Kiin’s representatives. This situation left T1 without the option of Kiin, as the player had already agreed to Gen.G, while negotiations with Zeus were stalled.

Naver quoted T1’s side: “At 3 PM yesterday, they unilaterally announced the situation regarding player Zeus. We had to rush to Incheon to handle it, and even negotiated by phone in the car. But by 3:40, they announced that Zeus had finalized negotiations with another team. The amount we were informed of was the same, only the contract terms differed.” T1 further stated they arrived in Incheon just after 4 PM and everything was over.

It is known that T1’s negotiations with Zeus faced difficulties as the player’s representatives continuously postponed meetings. The latest offer T1 made to Zeus was a “1+1 year” contract, with remuneration increased compared to the initial offer. However, Zeus’s representatives were reportedly only willing to agree to a “2+1 year” contract with the new amount increased.
T1 may “counterattack” against Zeus’s representatives
The T1 brand for 2023 – 2024 has brought significant profits to this team. Zeus himself is also linked to many of T1’s advertising contracts and sponsorships. Therefore, failing to retain ZOFGK could pose a danger to this team.

According to Naver, T1 may “counterattack” if this team decides to file a lawsuit. But as for Zeus or his fans and T1, it turns out that things are not peaceful at all, and the separation likely occurred in the least desired way.
