The Introduction of New Galaxies
In the upcoming 10.8 patch, there will be 2 new Galaxies named Trade Sector and Superdense Galaxy arriving in Teamfight Tactics. In the Trade Sector, you will get a free roll for champions each round, while in the Superdense Galaxy, when you reach level 5, you will automatically receive an additional Natural Armor.

Both of these Galaxies are expected to significantly change gameplay, likely increasing the game’s pace as players have more opportunities to acquire high-level units or increase the number of units in their compositions.
Heavy Nerf to Shaco
Although he is just one champion, Shaco has created a meta of his own with his enormous damage output. Many matches have been decided by whether your 3-star Shaco has the right items and can deal damage. The annoyance of this jester has made healing reduction and strong crowd control items much more favored.

Not only is there a direct nerf, but the Pilot class has also been weakened in such a way that they become weaker the higher level they achieve, making the Pilot – Spy composition much less viable. Essentially, this composition will shift to playing at level 7, meaning players will try to roll for 3-star units as much as possible and end matches quickly; if opponents can survive until the end, this heavily nerfed team composition will have no chance.
Changes to Damage on Beasts
Teamfight Tactics 10.8 will likely see many powerful compositions at levels 6/7 with a slew of champions upgraded to 3 stars. This is due to the changes in damage dealt to Beasts, which now increases based on how many units are on the board. Furthermore, the player’s own damage decreases over time, leading gamers to prefer “win fast” strategies like hyper-roll to secure victories.

With patches 10.6 and 10.7, compositions focused on the late game with strong 5-cost units and large combos like 6 champions have become extremely common. With Riot’s changes aiming to speed up the pace of matches, we hope to see less of the current situation where everyone hoards gold waiting for the late game.
Xerath’s Arrival
Last but certainly not least is the introduction of Xerath, the Dark Star – Sorcerer unit costing 5 gold. This champion is expected to be the game-changer and the win condition for Sorcerer compositions. Currently, Sorcerers are overly reliant on Pilots; however, as mentioned earlier, the Super Robot tends to lose health significantly in the late game, meaning this high-damage magic composition needs something to compensate. We hope that Xerath will provide the necessary damage that Sorcerers need.
