Nasus
Perhaps for new players, Nasus is the easiest and most understandable Fighter champion; all you need to do is continuously last hit minions with his Q – Siphoning Strike. After the laning phase ends, Nasus’s job doesn’t change much, just keep farming minions with Q, using Trinity Force or Iceborn Gauntlet to speed up turret destruction. Your sole mission is to push down towers; if someone comes up, fight them; if they run away, just play with the minions and the turret.

The reason for Nasus’s somewhat “selfish” playstyle can be summed up in two words – champion quality. Nasus has a rather poor base stat line, so he needs to farm a lot to build up items to compensate. Furthermore, this dog god has no mobility skills or quick ways to engage opponents, making it very difficult to enter and exit fights; it’s best to just push a lane safely to avoid being kited while farming as much as possible.

Teemo
This little yordle has a similar champion quality to Nasus, as most of his skills are single-target and it’s very hard to participate in fights effectively. Teemo has solid laning capabilities against most melee champions, allowing you to farm safely without the fear of being solo-killed. After the laning phase, what’s most essential for Teemo is to continue split-pushing and annoying opponents, rather than trying to engage in fights hopelessly.

Teemo’s ultimate is an incredibly powerful tool for controlling space; if you encounter a crafty player, you won’t be able to touch the little yordle’s realm as there are too many layers of defensive mushrooms. Teemo is quite easy to play and extremely cute, making him very suitable for female gamers during these pandemic days.
Fiora
Although she doesn’t have the “selfish” playstyle like the two champions mentioned above, Fiora is currently being buffed by Riot Games to excel in dueling and has an incredible ability to push towers. Therefore, if you need a champion that showcases player skill, carries games, and split-pushes supremely well, Fiora is a very promising choice.

Fiora’s strength lies in her ability to dominate almost any matchup in the top lane; as long as you have enough skill, any opponent can be countered. The most crucial skill in Fiora’s duels is her W – Riposte, which allows you to turn the tide of fights by dodging damage and countering crowd control effects. Along with her Q and E skills now being able to deal damage and critical hits to towers, this Duelist can quickly push down towers on her own.

Top Lane Kalista
A newly rising choice lately, Kalista is used as a super lane bully, capable of outplaying most opponents in the top lane and split-pushing effectively. The special thing about Kalista in the top lane is that this champion is known to be a Carry, yet her interaction time with teammates is very minimal. Perhaps apart from pulling the jungler safely with her ultimate, Kalista primarily plays solo.

Kalista is also quite similar to Fiora in clearly showcasing player skill and can independently determine the outcome of games. Besides the typical names above, champions like Tryndamere and Master Yi are also excellent choices for you to “play solo” during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
