Ashe
Since the launch of Teamfight Tactics, Ashe has never missed any season of “auto-chess”. This champion was priced at 3 gold in seasons 1 and 3 and served as a very annoying secondary carry. With a price of 3 gold, Ashe’s skill has always been Frost Shot to provide crowd control for the team. Thus, Ashe in the aforementioned seasons has always been a versatile champion in both damage dealing and supporting teammates.

In seasons 2 and 4, when Ashe had a price of 4 gold, this champion had the ability to carry extremely well with the skill Silver Arrows. Ashe in season 4 was so powerful that Riot had to remove this champion along with the Hunter trait in a mid-season update. To avoid repeating that mistake, Riot returned Ashe’s price to 3 gold in season 5, turning this unit into a very annoying secondary carry for the Dragonclaw team.

Vayne
If you remember, the project director of Teamfight Tactics – Riot Mortdog once mentioned that there would be a champion in season 5 with the same price and skill as in season 4. Many thought of Aurelion Sol when this unit appeared in the season 5 introduction video earlier. However, the reality is that the champion Riot Mortdog referred to is Vayne, as she appears in season 5 with a price of 1 gold and the skill Silver Bolt, identical to season 4.

Even in seasons 1 and 2, Vayne also had similar price and skill. Therefore, Vayne in the past seasons only played the role of a temporary carry in the early game or held items for other important champions. Vayne only escaped the 1 gold champion status when she appeared in the mid-season 3 update as a true carry of the Cybernetic team.

Yasuo
While Vayne had a price of 1 gold for 4 seasons, Yasuo’s value has fluctuated continuously throughout the development of Teamfight Tactics. In season 1, Yasuo appeared with a steep price of 5 gold with his signature “whirlwind slash” ability. Moving to seasons 2 and 3, you could obtain “the god” for just 2 gold. Even in the current season 4, Yasuo is only priced at 1 gold. However, this is a strength of Yasuo in season 4 as players can easily upgrade this unit to 3 stars.

In the upcoming season 5, Yasuo will be raised to a price of 3 gold with a skill called Last Breath. The strength of this skill is that it not only deals strong damage but also provides additional true damage on attacks. Combined with the attack speed boost effect from the Legion trait, Yasuo in season 5 promises to be a very powerful carry in the mid-game.
