Unlike ARAM or Summoner’s Rift, Teamfight Tactics is one of the few game modes in League of Legends where we have no teammates. While it seems like a “healthy” gaming environment, Teamfight Tactics can also make many players extremely toxic.
Here are some typical cases of toxic players in TFT:
Toxic because others are “scouting” their cards

In TFT, it is possible to predict which opponent you will face in the next round (though the accuracy isn’t 100%), and the fewer the players, the easier the prediction. Therefore, many players can take advantage of this to arrange their team composition to counter and attack the opponents’ weaknesses. “Scouting” also helps to maximize the power of items like the Silent Cloak or Infinity Edge. High-ranked players often consider this a basic skill to climb ranks in TFT.
However, many players become toxic when their “unstoppable” team composition is easily countered and destroyed by someone targeting their weakness.
Those who like… ruining streamers’ ranks

Due to some well-known TFT streamers, their account names are easily recognizable to many players. However, a toxic behavior that some individuals occasionally engage in is ruining the ranks of the streamers they encounter. Ruining ranks here means “ks” (kill-steal) everything from the streamer in that match, taking all champions, items, or arranging solely to counter that particular streamer, even if they themselves lose, they will lose along with the streamer. This happens to quite a few streamers, whether in the Vietnam server or globally.
Toxic because of being “ks’ed” for items

One of the experiences shared by many high-ranked players on forums is: If you can’t strengthen your own team, you must weaken your opponents. For example, if a player has 8 Rebel champions on the board, and a Rebel Emblem appears in the shop, if there’s nothing to strengthen their team, they should pick up that item to limit the power of the enemy team. Because if you let the opponent activate 9 Rebels, your chances of losing become extremely high.
However, many players become angry and type insults at the one who “ks’ed” the item they needed.
Frustrated because they play the same composition but still lose

Currently, compositions featuring Jinx as a carry, like 6 Rebels or Rebel Brawlers, are quite strong and popular, so many players often use this composition in consecutive matches. This leads to many matches where Jinx players are all “racing to the bottom 8” due to too many players sharing the same composition. However, what’s noteworthy is that these players become toxic and insult others who play the same composition as them, even though they themselves are also playing a single composition.
Players bringing “insurance” into the game

In the previous patch, many players used 2 secondary accounts to help their main account climb to Grandmaster or Challenger ranks. This was punished by Riot Games by restricting high-ranked players to play solo. However, some players still take advantage of these “insurance” accounts to climb to Diamond I just to show off. This toxic behavior causes many players to lose unfairly as those 2 secondary accounts take champions or items by any means, even if they lose, it doesn’t matter.
