Taki names the opponent he most wants to face at First Stand 2026
In the new season, GAM has made several noteworthy changes in personnel, with the most significant being the departure of Levi – a legend of GAM, of VCS, and the captain of the black and gold army. Additionally, they welcomed Taki, the captain of TSW, to bolster their strength after a disappointing season. However, currently, GAM’s results have not been very good. Nevertheless, they still have a chance to compete for the title and win the First Stand.

Taki himself has certain goals upon joining GAM. Of course, it’s not just about the title but also restoring GAM’s honor after a year without trophies. In particular, Taki stated that Gen.G is the opponent he most wants to face at First Stand 2026 if GAM has the chance to participate in the first international tournament of the LoL community.
Specifically, Taki said: “Among the teams that GAM might face if they participate in First Stand, I hope to meet Gen.G. They are the perfect and strongest team at the moment in my opinion. Therefore, the match against Gen.G would be very exciting.”

However, GAM and the VCS teams have not yet performed as expected
The reason is that, up to now, GAM has suffered 2 defeats, both against familiar opponents from VCS, MVK and TSW. Notably, TSW lost their leader Taki but still managed to fully capitalize on GAM’s mistakes to make the “king of VCS” pay the price. These are the mistakes that a championship-contending team must absolutely improve upon.

Taki also needs more time to adapt to the new environment at GAM, which will be very different compared to his time at SGB and later TSW. This will require additional time, and fortunately for the black and gold team, their current results are still good enough for GAM to continue nurturing hope in the remainder of LCP Split 1 2026.
