Just a few hours ago, the VCS organizers unexpectedly issued a disciplinary notice. This time, the subject has left the VCS community even more stunned. It’s none other than CERBERUS Esports – the VCS Winter 2021 Champion. Notably, CES’s error this time was a rather basic mistake that reflects a lack of professionalism. Specifically, CES did not gather enough players to start the match. Therefore, the VCS organizers penalized CES for violating regulations regarding lateness and losing one ban in the third game of the match against Burst The Sky.

The penalty from the VCS organizers has sparked intense debate within the VCS community. However, most people criticize the professionalism of VCS teams. After all, having a full roster is the minimum requirement for each team before matches. Not gathering a complete lineup before starting a match shows that the team lacks a professional work ethic and thorough preparation for unexpected situations.

Nevertheless, some opinions assert that mistakes must be punished and teams need to seriously reconsider their internal operations to avoid repeating such basic errors.

However, aside from the late announcement from the VCS organizers, it can be said that VCS teams once again disappointed their fans. The League of Legends scene in Vietnam has long been notorious for its drama, and the professionalism of teams is always questioned, especially in cases that have occurred before involving SBTC Esports. In some instances involving SE previously or CES currently, it is the teams that need to take primary responsibility for their violations.
