DragonX is still charging forward in their quest for the LCK Summer 2020 championship with a devastating performance. Recently, they secured a crucial victory against their direct competitor: Gen.G Esports, with a total score of 2-1.
In fact, Gen.G could have achieved a better result, as in the first game, Clid and his teammates were the ones controlling the game. However, with a brilliant moment from Chovy, who skillfully navigated through GEN’s vision and then flashed back to taunt four members of the opposing team.
Chovy’s highlight completely turned the game around, helping DRX turn defeat into victory in the first game, setting the stage for their overall win.
Originally, people could have spoken of the match between DRX and GEN with the most perfect terms, but a ripple appeared. After the match, DragonX’s media channels immediately posted a “trash talk” piece, featuring a comic strip that depicted Chovy’s Galio “lightly harvesting the head” of Bdd’s Zoe, quite literally.
Winning makes you a king, losing means you have to hear trash talk, that’s a very normal story in sports. However, DRX’s “bragging” message seems to have turned into “toxic bragging,” as they recreated the image of Zoe being “decapitated”—a scene that is extremely violent, inappropriate, and somewhat insulting to Bdd.

Subsequently, the owner of Gen.G responded with a sarcastic Tweet about how DRX’s media team had dedicated too much effort and time to create an offensive product against their opponents. Meanwhile, Bdd himself stated that he felt very uncomfortable seeing himself being mocked excessively.

From the perspective of the League of Legends community in Korea, even the hardcore fans of DragonX could not accept the “barbaric” work produced by their media team. A lot of critical opinions emerged, forcing DRX’s Weibo account to later delete the image.
Nevertheless, this still could not calm the fans’ anger, as DragonX’s leadership has remained silent up to this point and shows no intention of apologizing to Bdd or Gen.G.
