The 2020 Spring tournament system of professional League of Legends has officially concluded, and with MSI 2020 not being held, the transfer market has opened earlier than usual. This break period will definitely be an opportunity for teams in VCS to reinforce their lineups, while fans are eagerly anticipating the blockbuster deals that are about to “ignite” during this phase.
To heat things up, former Dashing Buffalo coach – Ren, recently released some notable rumors about the transfer activities of VCS teams. As a figure with deep insight into the Vietnamese League of Legends scene, the information provided by Ren, although not yet confirmed, is certainly worth paying attention to.

It is easy to see that the rumors provided by “Teacher” Ren are all related to teams that are in urgent need of strong restructuring after a not-so-successful season. Except for Team Flash, it is highly likely that we will witness a complete overhaul from the rest of VCS.
EVOS Esports and Team Secret secured positions in the top 4 last season, however, compared to their own standings in the past (EVOS was the champion of VCS Spring 2018, while Team Secret was also one of the two representatives from Vietnam to attend the 2019 World Championship), it is clear that this achievement is not enough to satisfy their fans and investors.

Meanwhile, former champions Dashing Buffalo also had a disappointing season, finishing the group stage in 6th place out of 8, and for the first time in the team’s history, they failed to qualify for the playoffs. CERBERUS Esports, despite being heavily invested, has yet to reap significant results.
Overall, the aggressive transfer activities of the aforementioned four teams have been anticipated.
As for GAM Esports, their second place in VCS Spring 2020 can be considered a failure for the most traditional team in Vietnamese League of Legends, and this is also part of the reason why GAM has been among the first to take action in the transfer market.

However, the most surprising development is perhaps that this team has bid farewell to their entire coaching staff. Aside from coach Tinikun who had announced his departure earlier, the departure of both Yuna, Iris, and Arik from GAM has truly been a major shock.
Nevertheless, the leadership of the reigning VCS runner-up has also shown immediate moves to strengthen the team, with Noway being brought in just before Tinikun’s departure, and currently, former commentator Izumin is also returning as the Operations Director.

The “family reunion” that Ren hinted at in his status seems to suggest that GAM will reunite with many familiar faces. Noway and Izumin have both previously been associated with GAM, and could it be that familiar faces like… Archie might also return?
