Spirit
The Spirit trait is currently almost forgotten in Teamfight Tactics. Players have realized that simply using Yuumi is enough to buff the attack speed of the main carry. It would be a waste of space on the battlefield to use Spirit champions for just a slight increase in attack speed. Additionally, the Spirit champions themselves do not have a strong physical damage carry to make the most of the attack speed buff effect.
However, with Diana being transitioned to a Spirit champion in the upcoming major update, this trait is likely to find a better place in the meta. Diana is an Assassin champion, so her damage output is exceptionally good. When combined with the additional attack speed from Spirit, Diana will help you secure a relatively easy winning streak during the mid-game.
Fortune
This trait resembles more of a “meme” within the Teamfight Tactics community than a viable competitive lineup. The playstyle of the Fortune trait is quite risky as it requires players to have a significant losing streak to gain valuable rewards. However, aside from Katarina, the Fortune trait lacks a strong enough carry to reap the rewards after Jinx was heavily nerfed.
This is likely to change in the upcoming mid-season update when Darius is confirmed to be a Fortune champion. Riot has also announced that this champion possesses skills and characteristics similar to Season 3, so players can be assured that Darius has enough power to earn rewards from the Fortune trait. Darius promises to be a “strong comeback” option for the Fortune trait in the upcoming mid-season update.
Sharpshooter
It can be said that Sharpshooters are in a situation quite similar to Mages in previous patches. Jhin is an exceptionally strong carry (similar to Ahri) while other Sharpshooter champions appear to be much weaker. Therefore, players have abandoned playing Sharpshooters and only kept Jhin when building their lineup. This is why Jhin is currently used more in the Soul team than in the traditional Sharpshooter team.
This situation will change in the upcoming mid-season update when Riot is set to remove Jhin from Teamfight Tactics. Moreover, Riot is also granting additional mid-game strength to Sharpshooters by introducing Sivir into the champion pool. This 3-cost champion is revealed to have skills that buff attack speed and damage for allies, thus Sivir will significantly increase the damage output of Sharpshooters. Not to mention that Riot is also adding Samira, a powerful 5-cost Sharpshooter champion, into the game.
