Since his release, K’Sante has received two significant nerfs in patches 13.1 and 13.3 of League of Legends. These nerfs aimed to reduce K’Sante’s damage and mobility. This adjustment was necessary because this champion belongs to the Tank category but has too much damage in his skill set.

Furthermore, in patch 13.3, K’Sante’s ultimate ability causes him to lose 85% of his defensive stats. Therefore, theoretically, this champion should become easier to kill after using his ultimate, in exchange for dealing massive damage. However, in reality, K’Sante still has excellent tanking capabilities even after using his ultimate.
This is due to a calculation error in the League of Legends system regarding K’Sante and items that increase armor/magic resistance percentage. According to experiments by a YouTuber named Hextech Lab, the percentage-based defensive stats of this champion do not decrease when using his ultimate. As a result, Jak’Sho, The Protean and the Stoneplate Beast become extremely powerful items for K’Sante.

As a result, despite being nerfed, K’Sante remains an overpowered champion, especially in professional tournaments. With the aforementioned calculation error, K’Sante still has a large amount of tank stats, strong damage, and healing. This allows K’Sante to easily charge into the enemy team without worrying about being quickly taken down.

This is clearly a significant imbalance, and Riot Games needs to take immediate action. Specifically, they need to adjust the interaction between K’Sante’s ultimate and items that increase armor/magic resistance percentages. Otherwise, this champion will continue to become overly strong and dominate future professional tournaments.
