Throughout history, it’s been rare to see siblings become professional gamers in the global eSports scene, let alone twins, which are even rarer. However, right within the Vietnamese gaming community, specifically in the game PUBG Mobile, there has emerged a twin duo that is shaking up the community, namely Hieu Meo and Huy Ga.

If they were just an ordinary pair of twins with a passion for gaming, there wouldn’t be much to talk about. However, the most significant difference is that the skills of the two brothers Hieu Meo and Huy Ga are recognized by Vietnamese gamers. This is evidenced by the fact that in both different games, this twin duo has reached the pinnacle of glory, becoming national champions and even representing the country in international competitions from a very young age.
Both started their gaming journey in 2013, with their first game being CrossFire on the computer. They quickly showcased their superior skills in the shooting game genre compared to their peers. No one would believe that two of the top players on the CrossFire leaderboard were just 13-year-old kids.
Despite their passion, due to their young age and the need to attend school every day, Hieu Meo and Huy Ga did not have their family’s support for their dream of becoming professional gamers. Therefore, the two young boys decided to put gaming aside and focus on their studies.

It wasn’t until 2017, when CrossFire Legend was launched on mobile platforms, that Hieu Meo and Huy Ga found their old dream again. After practicing for a while, they felt they couldn’t waste their talent, so they decided to join a small team and register for their first tournament. Perhaps due to being twins, the synergy between Huy Ga and Hieu Meo created a unique difference and class compared to other teams. Even in that tournament, despite it being their first serious competition, Hieu Meo and Huy Ga convincingly claimed the championship.
Not stopping there, the two brothers continued to conquer tournaments in a powerful and wild manner. With 4 championships in less than 2 years, while also taking turns becoming MVP, Hieu Meo and Huy Ga became the “nightmare twin duo” as they obliterated every tournament they participated in.
The most interesting thing is that each brother holds the other in high regard, considering the other to be superior to themselves. Huy Ga believes: “Objectively speaking, Hieu is better than me; just based on past achievements, Hieu has always won more MVPs in matches than I have. Even the CrossFire Legend fans see this when they have to choose one of the two brothers to compete internationally.”
Meanwhile, in the opposite direction, Hieu Meo rates Huy Ga even higher: “Huy Ga is very hardworking and has excellent psychological qualities; while I spend a lot of time resting, Huy continues to train hard. Sooner or later, Huy will surpass me.”

At that time, PUBG Mobile was dominating the list of shooting games in Vietnam. This was also the moment they realized they couldn’t blindly pursue their passion and needed to find a broader and more promising direction, so Hieu Meo and Huy Ga had to say goodbye to CrossFire Legend and shift their focus to training in this discipline.
With their proven talent from CrossFire Legend, both quickly participated in major tournaments. However, the real turning point came when the two brothers chose to leave Super Star to join Box Gaming.
Box Gaming, with a rich history of achievements in 2019, is a team belonging to the eSports organization Box Sports. This team also has a structured professional management and training model, which means much higher pressure and stricter requirements for its players.

Joining at a sensitive turning point, the pressure of replacing and being compared to the legendary 2019 lineup of Box Gaming, including Marco and GE, weighed heavily on the shoulders of these two young men. Unable to bear the pressure, Hieu Meo accepted to step back and gave his position to his younger brother Huy Ga to join forces with Louis, Loki, and Pimay.
Thanks to his determination to rise and improve in every match, Huy Ga has become an indispensable key player in bringing Box Gaming back to the championship, dispelling doubts about his abilities, and for the first time, as a professional player, surpassing his brother Hieu Meo.
Despite the underlying competition, Hieu Meo and Huy Ga have never been apart during their journey to becoming professional players. Huy Ga once joked: “If one day brother Hieu moves to another team and faces me, regardless of who the opponent is or how many there are, I will only focus on taking him down.”
Huy Ga and Box Gaming are the sole representatives of Vietnam participating in the World Championship Qualifiers on July 10th. Hopefully, with his talent, Huy Ga will help Box Gaming elevate Vietnamese PUBG Mobile to an international level.
