In version 13.22 just released, Riot Games has locked the Blind Pick mode in League of Legends and replaced it with Quick Play. Simply put, in Quick Play mode, players will pre-select their positions, champions they want to play, and the runes they will use. Players will no longer have to go through the champion selection phase and will jump straight into the match in Quick Play mode.

However, after its launch, this game mode has started to reveal many limitations. As a result, many League of Legends (LoL) players on the Vietnamese server have voiced their opposition to Quick Play. In fact, there are many opinions suggesting that Riot Games should bring back the familiar Blind Pick mode.
The biggest reason leading to this opposition is the long matchmaking time. It is likely that the number of players choosing the Support position on the Vietnamese server is too low, causing the system to take longer to find matches. While in Blind Pick mode, players could switch to Support as needed, this option has disappeared in Quick Play mode.

Furthermore, the factor of “game breaking” in Quick Play mode occurs more frequently. Many players have reported that their team often has 2 players in the Jungle role, ruining the match right from the start. Previously, players could change summoner spells if they ended up in the same position as another player. However, in Quick Play mode, players cannot change their summoner spells before the match, leading to this unfortunate situation.

In conclusion, after the release of the new version, Quick Play mode has shown quite a few limitations at this time. Perhaps Riot needs to make necessary changes in the future to help Quick Play become more friendly and suitable for the League of Legends community. If not, they should seriously consider bringing back the familiar Normal mode to League of Legends in the future.
