As we know, during the past 2023 season, especially in the LCK Summer group stage, T1 faced numerous challenges in the second half of the season. The main reason was the absence of the captain and mid-laner Faker. As everyone knows, Faker may not be the “top player” with extraordinary skills like he was in his youth. However, he is still a top playmaker in the League of Legends scene and an extremely important spiritual leader for T1. When Faker returned, T1 marched straight to the LCK Summer 2023 finals and then won the Worlds 2023.

Recently, at a showmatch event organized by RedBull – T1’s sponsor, an image appeared that made T1 fans truly worried. During a photo session, Faker was seen massaging his right arm several times. Although it was just a brief moment, it didn’t escape the eyes of the fans’ cameras. Immediately, this action of Faker was shared on social media, causing many T1 fans to feel anxious.
For those who may not know, even before the playoffs of LCK Summer 2023, T1’s internal team admitted that Faker had to “race against injury” to participate in the most critical phase of the season. Since the conclusion of Worlds 2023, about three weeks have passed, and recently Faker has returned to streaming. However, he has been trying hard very little and mainly focused on content analysis. Many opinions suggest that Faker needs a lot of rest time because, since his return, he has been practicing and competing continuously.

There are quite a few comments suggesting that Faker might simply be cold, considering it is winter. However, a more accurate assessment is that he might be experiencing muscle strain or hand issues after recently competing at a high level continuously and only having had a few days of rest.

Regardless, T1 fans still hope that Faker will be safe and sound. After all, T1 in the new season will face a lot of pressure as they are still the reigning champions in the League of Legends scene. If anything happens to Faker, T1 will undoubtedly encounter numerous difficulties. At that point, no one can predict what will happen, especially since compared to the average age of a League of Legends player, Faker is already in a very high group, and recovery time will certainly take much longer if the injury relapses.
