If you didn’t know, just a few hours ago, Riot Games officially introduced the next champion card named Yuumi for the game Legends of Runeterra. Similar to her role in League of Legends, this card version of Yuumi also possesses the ability to Attach and cling to allies to increase stats and buff effects for targets. This is the first champion card that Riot has introduced for the new expansion titled The Curious Journey.

Notably, the upgraded image of Yuumi, a very mysterious character, has been discovered by players. Specifically, in this image, Yuumi and her companions are playing on the left side, while a mysterious Yordle character is seen walking through a space portal on the right.

Going back to Yuumi’s introduction, we learn that this cat has an owner who is a mage named Norra. When her owner mysteriously disappears, Yuumi becomes the guardian of the Tome of Threshold and is on a quest to find Norra. Given that Norra is a mage, it is entirely reasonable for her to be able to open space portals and travel through them (as shown in the image above).

Therefore, it is very likely that the image above represents Norra’s first appearance in the League of Legends universe, as this character was previously only mentioned in Yuumi’s lore. Clearly, with Norra’s pet now becoming a League of Legends champion, there is a high chance this character will also join the game in the future.
In Riot’s latest updates, they mentioned Zeri, a very cool Support (now known as Renata) along with a Jungler from the Void. Thus, it is possible that in the upcoming champion development roadmap, this Jungler will be introduced in more detail along with hints about the next character. Who knows, Norra might be such a character and appear in that article from Riot.
