Before the ASIAD officially kicked off, the League of Legends (LoL) community was abuzz when the profile pictures of South Korean players were revealed. These images belong to the top 4 players from the LCK – the candidates initially proposed to represent South Korea in the ASIAD League of Legends competition.

However, each photo surprised the League of Legends audience. This is because KeSPA’s photography team did not make any edits to the players; one could say that they were “as shot.” Among these, many images could be classified as “extremely unflattering,” with Ruler’s picture being a prime example.

The League of Legends event at the ASIAD concluded a while ago, but clearly, the heat of the event is still simmering. Recently, the “unflattering profile pictures” of the South Korean players were brought back by netizens and creatively integrated into the world-famous game Candy Crush Saga.

It is unclear whether it is a real simulation app or a cleverly edited clip, but images of the players’ profile pictures have circulated on social media, complete with motion effects resembling Candy Crush. Notably, after a player successfully “clears a level,” the main background displays an image of Faker. Of course, this is also a profile picture of Faker taken during the ASIAD preparation.
The clip has garnered significant attention from the League of Legends community, both within the LCK and internationally. Many have even suggested sending it to the players during their livestreams to capture the reactions of the LCK stars upon seeing their profile pictures inspire a famous puzzle game.
