Challenge Under the Twilight
This is an augment specifically designed for Xin Zhao, and in fact, Zaheen is also a very strong champion in TFT Set 16. However, in reality, this augment is quite difficult to operate. First, players will need to find a way to upgrade Xin Zhao to 3 stars as quickly as possible. However, since this champion is a good tank and belongs to both the Ionia and Demacia factions, he is easily contested. Therefore, obtaining a 3-star Xin Zhao is no simple task.
Additionally, in the late game, while Zaheen has healing abilities and is extremely agile, he is not an invincible champion. If players position their pieces correctly, they can relatively easily counter Zaheen. According to statistics from Metatft, this augment is only rated at tier C in ranks from Diamond and above.
Dark Crown
One of the strongest augments but also always a “double-edged sword” since this mechanic was officially introduced is the Dark Crown. It’s no surprise that most players find it difficult to balance the power that this augment provides with the risks it entails. This is because being invincible from start to finish in TFT Set 16 is very challenging. But just one loss can cause the player’s health to drop double compared to normal.
Therefore, while the Dark Crown augment is strong and is even considered to be used immediately if drawn early in the first selection round, it is by no means an easy augment to play and can definitely lead players to “regret” at the end of the match if damage calculations are not accurate.
Deserving Wait
In previous seasons, Deserving Wait was one of the extremely interesting augments where players could have a champion that could reach up to 4 stars with overwhelming power. However, in TFT Set 16, sometimes the pace of the game is pushed too high, and players won’t be able to wait for their pieces to reach the desired power level.
Moreover, this augment often focuses on low-cost champions. In TFT Set 16, the power of the pieces is clearly divided and aligned with their cost. Therefore, even when reaching 3-star or 4-star, it is still difficult for players to achieve a high rank without other main damage dealers to share the load and tanking.
