After many days of anticipation, Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Season 9 has officially landed. According to previous disclosures from Riot, TFT Season 9 will feature numerous changes along with a host of new mechanics and traits. In fact, some players who had the opportunity to experience the PBE version have remarked that TFT Season 9 might require players to “relearn from scratch.”

Among the champions featured in the new season, Warwick has returned with the same power as in his versions from Seasons 4 and 5. Notably, Warwick is now only 2 gold and is currently one of the most favored champions due to his almost “invincible” skill set.
Overview and Strategy
Generally, in TFT Season 9, Warwick returns with a healing skill set combined with the Challenger trait that provides him additional attack speed. This is the same skill set and trait that created the Warwick 3 Blade Master in Season 4. Moreover, the item build for this champion is quite simple, allowing players to quickly familiarize themselves and feel the effectiveness.

Since Warwick only costs 2 gold, players will easily acquire him and upgrade this champion early. Note that if after 2-3 rounds you haven’t obtained at least 4 Warwick champions (equivalent to 1 Warwick 2-star and 1 1-star version), you should immediately switch to another team composition. However, if you have the desired champions, you can early deploy a 2 Challenger team consisting of Warwick and Irelia or Samira (1 gold champions).

Moving into the mid-game phase, champions like Kalista, and if lucky, Yasuo will be excellent choices. Frontline champions like Darius, Sett, and Garen will help Warwick endure better in fights. Additionally, players can consider activating the Zaun trait to give Warwick a “unique” power boost from this trait.
By the end of the match, players must aim to have Warwick at 3 stars along with all necessary items. As a 2 gold champion, Warwick requires the best items possible. You should use Aatrox if available, and Urgot to activate the Zaun trait for Warwick. An ideal team composition at level 8 includes: Aatrox – Warwick – Kai’Sa – Yasuo – Irelia – Samira – Kalista – Urgot.

Conclusion
This team composition requires many items, which may leave players short on gear for all their champions. However, Warwick is currently a very effective champion, and gamers can leverage him to achieve the highest ranks possible before Riot begins to address these “delicious – nutritious – cheap” options.
