TFT Season 10: Breaking the Meta with the Powerful and Unique Vi “One Punch Man” Playstyle from Masters

The Vi carry playstyle is shaking up TFT in the LPL Super Server in recent days.

Vi – The New Power of the Punk Tribe

Previously, Vi was often seen merely as a “system activator” in Punk compositions. This was due to Jinx and Twitch having much safer and longer-range damage capabilities compared to Vi. The buff to the Punk tribe in patch 14.2 has led to Jinx and Twitch being fiercely contested, while this champion was left behind.

Therefore, some Masters have started to utilize Vi to avoid the contention for carries while also taking advantage of the buffed Punk tribe. The effectiveness of this playstyle has proven to be extremely high, with players achieving very good ranks in Challenger. Even in the LPL Super Server, this composition remains exceedingly strong, capable of defeating other meta compositions.

Building the Vi “One Punch Man” Composition

In the early stages, players should buy Superstar Vi regardless of the “chosen” tribe – class. If Vi is a Punk Superstar, players can aim for the 4 unit mark of this tribe early to accumulate power. In case you obtain the Superstar Rumble, this unit can deal decent damage early game thanks to the additional attack speed and full lifesteal.

Like compositions using a 1-cost carry, players will not buy experience to optimize Vi’s appearance rate. Once Vi reaches 3 stars, players should aim for level 6 in the mid-game to add durable and crowd-control units like Amumu and Vex. They will create enough space for Vi to deal maximum damage.

In the late game, gamers should add valuable 5-cost champions like Lucian or Yorick to optimize the strength of the carries. If possessing Superstar Rumble, players can aim for the 4 units of this system with Poppy or Sett. Thresh is also a champion that players can consider to enhance crowd control capabilities.

Items and Technology Core

For a Vi carry, the Night Cloak is an essential item as it allows this unit to maximize damage output time. Additionally, recovery items like Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, or high damage items are very suitable for Vi. In terms of Technology Core, the Terrifying Twin is the optimal choice for the Punk tribe. Additionally, cores like Good Fighter or United Struggle are also very strong with this composition.
