In TFT 12, Riot Games has reintroduced the champions with attack effect abilities featuring the powerful Duelist system. With two extremely strong 2-cost carries, Kassadin and Akali, players quickly realize that the optimal playstyle for this composition is to reroll at level 6. With Kassadin, this unit has a shield-creating skill and only costs 70 energy, making it incredibly resilient. Meanwhile, Akali, with her blink ability over a distance of 3 squares, will take down the opponent’s backline.
Furthermore, this composition does not lack damage in the late game when Kalista and Camille are both incredibly strong carries. The weakness of this composition is that the Duelist champions do not have sufficient durability. Therefore, players should supplement with strong tank champions like Shen or even Diana in the late game. They will serve to absorb damage and create space for the key damage-dealing units to maximize their damage output.
Building the TFT 12 Kassadin – Duelist Composition
In the early game, players should start with affordable yet strong Duelist champions like Ashe, Jax, and Kassadin. They will ensure enough damage output to help players maintain their health. In the fourth position, Zilean is a reasonable choice to activate the 2 Chrono bonus as well as provide some crowd control with his ability.
After reaching level 6, players should stop buying experience to focus on rerolling and upgrading Kassadin and Akali. Additionally, Shen and Hecarim are also very strong options at this stage to supplement durability and activate the 5 Duelist bonus.
