TES’s 2025 Season Viewed as “No Hope”
During the 2025 preseason transfer window, TES made some blockbuster signings that brought a lot of hope to fans. Specifically, they brought in two superstars, Kanavi and Crisp, after letting Tian and Meiko go. With Kanavi being a former MSI champion and Crisp a former Worlds champion, many viewers believe TES must have paid the top salary in LPL (around 10 million CNY/year, equivalent to 35 billion VND) to recruit this duo.

However, the results TES achieved after acquiring this duo did not match the investment. TES suffered a defeat against a team considered to be “lower tier” called AL in the 2024 Demacia Cup. Even as they entered the official LPL season, TES was embarrassed with a 1-3 loss to AL, causing frustration among many fans. Explaining this disappointing performance, TES coach Homme stated that the team is playing with a serious lack of discipline. If this continues, TES’s season could indeed be seen as “no hope”.

“I feel truly disappointed to see my team lose so meekly. The players are showing a severe lack of discipline by continuously engaging in fights regardless of whether the team composition supports it. I will find a way to rectify this as soon as possible. If not, the team has no hope of achieving anything this season, whether it’s winning titles or simply improving our gameplay,” Coach Homme expressed with disappointment.

TES Faces Risk of Leaving Empty-Handed in 2025 Season
In the current LPL, several new forces have risen to compete for the regional title. In addition to the rise of AL, NIP also shows determination as they have been performing exceptionally well since bringing Doinb onto the team. A former powerhouse, IG, is making a strong comeback thanks to a complete overhaul with stars like TheShy and Rookie. Meanwhile, JDG and WBG also have quality rosters and are showing they will not be left out of the LPL race.

Returning to TES, they seem to be “falling behind” compared to other teams in the LPL with relatively poor performance and a lack of discipline in their gameplay. It’s important to note that in the 2024 season, TES’s main rivals in the LPL were only BLG and WBG, yet they failed to secure any titles. Now, in the 2025 season, with the strong rise of many teams, TES’s chances of winning the championship are diminishing. Indeed, if there is no significant improvement, especially in their gameplay, TES will have no hope of claiming any titles as Coach Homme mentioned.
