Garen
It can be said that Garen is a perfect early-game champion in Teamfight Tactics with an incredibly strong tribe-system and skill. With the Warlord tribe, Garen inherently possesses a large amount of health and skill damage. Garen’s “tanky” nature is further enhanced by the Vanguard system, which provides significant additional armor and magic resistance. If players can level Garen up to 2 stars early, this unit can carry the entire team into the mid-game.

One of the tips from high-level players on using Garen is to position this unit alone in the frontline. This will help Garen deal maximum damage when using his skill, Judgment. You can rest assured that with his “tanky” nature, Garen will survive well even while standing alone in the front line. You can also apply this strategy to bring additional damage-dealing units into your lineup from the backline.
Tristana
What makes Tristana so dominant in the early game is that she possesses a tribe-system that deals tremendous damage. If you have Tristana in the Dragon Slayer form, this unit can easily blow away the enemy team. With her high attack speed from her skill, Tristana will activate the Dragon Slayer effect many times, ensuring that your team will never lack damage. With the Sniper form, Tristana also deals relatively decent damage to the opponent’s backline.

Moreover, Tristana is the perfect champion for holding items for carries. Players can combine strong damage items such as Infinity Edge, Deathblade, and Blue Bow for Tristana early without worrying about losses. Therefore, in addition to the Dragon Slayer effect, Tristana’s basic attacks in the early game are also of high quality. Tristana is indeed a perfect carry in the early game that players should prioritize acquiring.
Fiora
Fiora’s strongest weapon in the early game is her incredibly annoying stun ability. Furthermore, during the casting time of Riposte, Fiora becomes immune to damage, making it difficult for opponents to quickly eliminate this unit. This annoyance is heightened if Fiora is in the Blademaster form and continuously uses her abilities. With just a Fire Cloak, Fiora can take on the role of a tank very effectively in the early game.

Despite being so powerful, Fiora does not interact well with other items besides the Fire Cloak. This makes it unwise to stack items and push Fiora to be a carry early on. Therefore, this unit will be slightly weaker than Garen and Tristana in terms of holding items for carries. However, she is still a reliable frontline unit that players should buy in the early game when they have not yet determined their lineup.
