Braum
To put it bluntly, Braum is the most dominant tank champion in Teamfight Tactics season 6, providing immense value to any team composition. As a Guardian champion with high armor, Braum is incredibly “tanky” and serves as a reliable shield for his allies. Moreover, Braum’s ability delivers significant crowd control across a wide area; if he can cast his spell twice in a single round of combat, your chances of winning skyrocket.
To reduce Braum’s power, in the upcoming patch 12.2, Riot will increase the starting and maximum mana that this unit possesses from 100/180 to 120/200. This means that it will be significantly more challenging for Braum to cast his spell a second time, greatly reducing the crowd control capabilities he offers. With such a heavy nerf, many compositions, from the Glacial to Challenger and even Jhin – Guardian, will no longer deal damage as comfortably as before.
Seraphine
According to statistics from Metatft.com, the Innovator composition currently boasts a top 4 placement rate of 54.9%. This is an impressive number and indicates that the Innovator build helps players climb ranks very effectively. Not only is it strong in terms of damage, but this composition is also frustrating due to its numerous sources of healing and shielding. In fact, the carry Seraphine has become even more powerful with the introduction of the Strength Chalice meta, which significantly increases her skill damage.
Riot clearly does not accept this, so in the upcoming patch 12.2, they will reduce the healing capacity of Seraphine’s ability, Lullaby, at all three levels of 1/2/3 stars. Keep in mind that this healing amount is further enhanced by the Mystic effect, so the actual nerf Seraphine faces will be substantial. This change, combined with the fact that at level 8 the chance of rolling a 5-cost champion is only 4%, will make the Innovator composition, especially Jayce, much easier to take down than before when they could withstand damage more effectively.
Tahm Kench
In terms of late-game power cheating, Tahm Kench is the strongest champion, as this unit provides you with a lot of items. Remember that in each match, players can only receive a limited number of items, making Tahm Kench’s ability incredibly powerful. However, due to Tahm Kench’s base damage being somewhat too high, this “item cheating” capability has become too easy, so in the upcoming patch 12.2, Riot will heavily nerf the damage and stats this unit gains when fed.
This will clearly weaken Tahm Kench’s scaling power over time compared to before. As a result, the strategy of overpowering opponents with items will no longer operate as effectively, given the significant nerf to the damage Tahm Kench deals with his abilities. Of course, he remains a strong 5-cost unit worth investing in, but it now requires you to equip Tahm Kench with a certain amount of ability damage items to unleash his full potential.
