The Rise of the Sorcerer System in Teamfight Tactics Season 13
Although designed to be a magic powerhouse in Teamfight Tactics Season 13, the Sorcerers were not widely used in the early game due to several disadvantages. Notably, the 2 and 4 Sorcerer thresholds were relatively weak, making the early game for this lineup extremely “harmless”. It wasn’t until Riot Games released patch 13.4 and the latest 13.5 to buff the power of the 4 Sorcerers that this playstyle became more favored.

Additionally, the Invoker system and especially the recent changes to Ambessa have also received quite a few beneficial adjustments. Some top players in the LPL Super Server have tested combining these two systems and found excellent results, as Nami’s energy regeneration helps the entire lineup deal damage and tank much more effectively. Moreover, opponents find it challenging to counter this lineup because the magic damage from Sorcerers is too high, while the threat posed by Ambessa cannot be underestimated.
Building the Garen – Sorcerer Lineup in Teamfight Tactics Season 13
A good starting point for players is to use the duo of Lux and Zyra as the main damage dealers since they are both quality 1-cost champions. In the frontline, systems like Brawlers or Guardians are good choices as their abilities also synergize with the AP stats from the Sorcerers. If lucky, players can use Swain as a tank from level 5 and achieve the 4 Sorcerer threshold along with Vladimir.

In the mid-game, players should add Nami to the lineup as soon as possible to improve energy regeneration. One small note is that players should buy a Tristana to keep in the waiting area as soon as they see it in the shop. There will be some matches where 4-cost champions like Garen and Ambessa appear early, so having Tristana allows players to deploy these champions immediately and activate the strong 4 Invoker threshold.

After reaching level 8, players will need to “spend” gold to look for important 4-cost units like Ambessa and Garen to complete the lineup. Additionally, Elise and LeBlanc are also excellent additions to increase damage and provide additional crowd control from the 3 Black Rose threshold. If players have a Sorcerer Emblem, they can aim for level 9 and add Zoe to activate the powerful 6-unit threshold.

Some Tips for Building the Lineup
Given the Sorcerer system’s extremely “energy-hungry” nature, players should craft the Shojin Spear as soon as possible for the main damage dealers. Additionally, during the leveling process, players can completely pivot to reroll for a 3-star Swain if this unit appears too frequently in the shop. Regarding Technology Augments, upgrades that provide Sorcerer Emblems or Gold Shovels/Pans will be crucial for players to secure the final victory.
