As we enter the middle of Season 3, it’s easy to see that Teamfight Tactics has been adorned with more and more luxurious, colorful updates with numerous changes and adjustments. This has allowed Teamfight Tactics to attract a steadily growing number of new players.

This also means that new players who discovered the game in Season 2 or 3 will never know about the unique and extremely powerful Traits that only appeared in Season 1. Let’s take a look at 5 standout names among them.

Shape Shifter
This is considered the representative Trait of Teamfight Tactics Season 1 due to its power and popularity. At that time, any player who could get the trio of Nidalee, Elise, and Shyvana early on would have a 90% chance of being “straight into” a winning streak.

Although they only received health increases in their shapeshifted form, that alone was enough to make this Trait extremely powerful, regenerating health, increasing damage, and boasting incredible durability. Perhaps today’s new players will never understand how legendary Shyvana with the Cannon and Swain full tank were back then.

Later on, the Shape Shifter Trait gained a sixth champion, Jayce, and once the enemy team had all 6 Shape Shifters, you knew your fate was sealed.
Ghost
One of the most unique Traits in Teamfight Tactics is this one. Even though it doesn’t possess strong champions, it is still a way to cause “super extreme frustration” for opponents by cursing an enemy champion down to only 100 health, regardless of their position.

With just 2 members required to activate, the Ghost Trait is very easy to combine with many different team compositions, mostly Knights, Rangers, and Sorcerers.
Demon
The terror of Season 1, one of the most dominant teams and the nemesis of most other team compositions: Demon. With the ability to burn energy and later modified to steal energy for the owner, the Demon Trait became one of the most used Traits in Teamfight Tactics Season 1 and was also the most hated by players using Sorcerer compositions.

Besides an incredibly powerful passive, the Demon Trait also had a lineup of top-tier champions capable of dealing significant damage that once made it into the meta with items like Evelynn, Brand, Aatrox, or even the 2-cost Ranger Varus. With a unique passive that caused a lot of annoyance for many compositions and a team of extremely strong members, it’s not hard to understand why Demons were so beloved in the past.
Yordle
These little guys are also a one-of-a-kind composition throughout all 3 seasons of Teamfight Tactics with their incredible ability to dodge basic attacks, countering Ranger, Noble, and especially Assassin compositions. This composition is also very easy to build as it doesn’t require 5-cost units, has good area damage, and a fairly balanced team.

However, as mentioned earlier, the Yordle Trait will maximize its annoyance if the match has many auto-attack compositions. Conversely, these little ones will be at a disadvantage against heavy burst Mage compositions and find it hard to flexibly combine their team since there are only enough to fit 6 Yordles.
Technology
This is the Trait that was added in the middle of Season 1 with new units like Camille, Jinx, Jayce, and Vi, boasting an unrivaled ability: completely locking down enemy items in a specific area. If you can activate all 4 Technologies and arrange them properly, then in 8 seconds, the fully equipped enemy team’s carries will be mere harmless units.

The Technology Trait is often built with a Brawler composition (linked with Vi) or a Shape Shifter composition (linked with Jayce).
Dragon
The most dominant Trait in Teamfight Tactics is represented here by the trio of extremely powerful units that can deal “one-shot damage”: Shyvana, Pantheon, and Aurelion Sol. The ability of this team? Immunity to all magic damage, let me repeat, IMMUNE!

What about you, which Trait do you remember the most?
