In recent days, Teamfight Tactics players have been experiencing an unprecedented hyper-roll phase as the meta revolves around acquiring powerful 3-star 1-cost units like Poppy, Xayah, and Twisted Fate. This makes it incredibly difficult for even backline carries to be taken down, given the massive health pool at 3 stars compared to normal damage output. As a result, players are forced to either find ways to counter this or continue to “hyper-roll” to avoid losing too much health.

One of the best ways to counter gold-laden compositions like these is to utilize true damage. However, the traditional Brawler – Void composition (the Void trait deals true damage when you have 3 units) is too reliant on Vel’Koz’s damage output, while Cho’Gath and Kha’Zix mainly serve the purpose of crowd control or applying effects. Thus, one player came up with a solution by giving Kha’Zix additional attack speed.

Essentially, the core build of this strategy is not much different from the traditional Brawler – Void lineup; you can learn more at HERE. The biggest difference here is that instead of looking for items for Vel’Koz and relying entirely on this piece, you will seek out as many Zeke’s Herald items as possible for Kha’Zix, and this Void grasshopper will carry the team effectively into the mid-game.
Of course, ability power items for Vel’Koz are important, but you can find those later. Investing items into a strong 1-cost Kha’Zix early will make your team significantly stronger in the mid-game, even before acquiring Void buffs.

So why Zeke’s Herald? Aren’t there stronger attack speed items? The answer lies in the significant buff to this item in patch 10.8, where the additional attack speed provided to the user and surrounding units increased by up to 30%, but it only buffs allies within one space. However, since the Brawler – Void composition mainly consists of “bulky” units (4 Brawlers), you only need to buff Kha’Zix, Vel’Koz, and one other unit to achieve an effective boost.

With stacking 3 Zeke’s Heralds for Kha’Zix, this champion can slice through most backline units in the early game with his true damage output. Moreover, the additional attack speed from the newly refreshed Assassin trait can trigger at the 2-unit mark, making Kha’Zix’s damage output much more consistent with this style.
The most terrifying aspect of this strategy is that it not only makes Kha’Zix incredibly powerful, but the immense attack speed from the 3 Zeke’s Heralds also allows Vel’Koz to deal regular attacks much more effectively. As he attacks more frequently, his mana increases significantly, leading to more frequent ability casts from Vel’Koz, thereby amplifying the total damage output of this entire composition.

In summary, the Kha’Zix Hyper Roll team composition is an upgrade to the traditional Brawler – Void lineup, featuring a different item build and carry choice that aligns well with the current meta.
