Recently, one of the most favored metas in TFT Season 6 is the Giant meta, led by Galio and Sion. This combo is considered “unstoppable” and frustrates many players as they can quickly go from winning to losing.
However, there are definitely ways to counter the Giant meta, and the rise of this composition has led to 3 items originally designed to counter the Galio-Sion combo also being “boosted” in the win rate rankings after the 11.24b update.

Morello’s Evil Tome
In Season 5 and 5.5, Morello’s Evil Tome was one of the hottest items, especially after the emergence of champions with multi-target magic damage like Kennen. However, in Season 6, this item has seen a noticeable drop in usage. Nevertheless, Morello’s Evil Tome still proves its power. Especially since the Giant composition has taken the throne, the need for items that increase healing reduction has risen. At this point, Morello’s Evil Tome makes a grand comeback.
The champions that utilize this item most effectively against Giants are none other than magic damage Assassins, such as Ekko or Akali. In the Chemtech – Innovator – Scrap composition, Ekko with multi-target magic damage is the perfect choice to use this item and eliminate the opponent’s backline quickly, focusing all firepower on the two annoying Giant champions, Galio and Sion. Morello’s Evil Tome has a win rate of 16.6% with a usage rate of up to 49.9%.

Green Bow
This item can be seen as the strongest counter against tough, “beefy” compositions. The function of this item is to reduce the target’s armor by 70% for 5 seconds, without stacking effects. Therefore, Green Bow works best in conjunction with Infinity Edge and Gauntlet, creating a devastating equipment combo that can “clean up” any tough composition.
The current win rate of Green Bow has reached 14.6% with a usage rate of 36% (approximately 274,762). Since the component items of Green Bow are not easy to obtain, it is clear that the utility of this item is very evident. Especially when the Giant composition is popular, the increasing win rate of Green Bow over time is not surprising at all.

Giant Slayer
The name says it all: when Giants rise, Giant Slayer will also be upgraded thanks to its strong countering ability against units with “huge” health. In a TFT season with too many units possessing absurdly high health, Giant Slayer is a highly impactful item.
However, Giant Slayer is crafted from two contested component items: BF Sword and Wooden Bow, so its appearance rate is currently only around 33.4% with a win rate of 14.8%.
