Shadow Cloak
Although introduced in Teamfight Tactics right after the 6.5 season update, it wasn’t until patch 12.7 that Shadow Cloak truly shined and deservedly replaced Guardian Angel. The main reason for the rise of this item is the increased usage of Kha’Zix in the carry position, and this unit fits perfectly with Shadow Cloak. The ability to dispel negative effects, increase attack speed… from this item is extremely suitable and greatly supports Kha’Zix’s assassination capabilities.

Furthermore, Shadow Cloak is also an extremely effective tool for protecting carries against Assassin compositions or Kha’Zix himself. Basically, when a unit’s health drops below 60%, it becomes untargetable and avoids being attacked by Assassins. Additionally, with components made from B.F. Sword, units like Jhin and Draven also utilize Shadow Cloak extremely well. Therefore, the advice is to prioritize crafting this item in the defensive slot for carries in the current meta.
Giant’s Strength
Besides Assassin compositions and ranged carries, the type of composition using many Bruiser and Challenger champions remains a strong choice in patch 12.7, despite being nerfed. The dilemma for this type of composition is needing an item that provides both attack and defense stats for carries. Among the current items in Teamfight Tactics, Giant’s Strength is almost the only item that can meet this requirement.

While previously Giant’s Strength was closely associated with Warwick alone, in the current meta, many champions utilize this item well. If you are using a Innovator team, Jayce or Vi are top choices, while Irelia also uses this item incredibly effectively. A small tip for this item is to craft Giant’s Strength early to help carries benefit from the significant stats it provides to maintain health or secure win streaks.
Redemption Chain
Although not considered an overly strong or “core” item for any champion, Redemption Chain possesses dream stats. Specifically, this item currently has a 21% crafting rate and an average placement of 4.06 in the current meta. This means that crafting Redemption Chain almost guarantees you a spot in the top 4 and ranking points. It is no exaggeration to say this item is one of the most versatile tank items in patch 12.7.

Besides the healing factor, Redemption Chain also helps surrounding units gain a 25% damage reduction effect from skills and area attacks. In the context of Mage compositions gradually returning to the meta, with Jhin still being a strong choice, Redemption Chain is an extremely good option in the current meta.
