Jayce
Perhaps we don’t need to say much about Jayce’s strength as this unit is a very versatile champion in both offensive and defensive capabilities. In fact, the fact that the Innovator team composition has become stronger due to Ekko being turned into a champion of this trait also increases Jayce’s value even more towards the end of the game. If the opponent lacks quick access to your backline, you can also play Jayce as a physical carry in the backline.

Besides the Innovator team, Jayce also becomes much stronger as Riot has implemented some very strong indirect buffs for the Guardian trait. We need to know that in the upcoming Season 6.5, Riot will add the Swift Justice augment, which provides increased execution damage for the Guardian trait. Therefore, using Jayce as a backline carry with high attack speed will become much more feasible rather than just using this unit in the front line as we currently do.
Braum
Braum’s extremely strong tanking and crowd control capabilities will still be great strengths as we enter Season 6.5. It won’t be surprising if Braum continues to be one of the strongest Guardian units used in many different team compositions. Moreover, in the context of Riot adding a system with many backline carries like Striker in Teamfight Tactics Season 6.5, Braum’s area control abilities will become even more useful.

Another factor that will increase Braum’s value is that Shaco and Akali are about to be removed in the upcoming Season 6.5. This will change the nature of the Gangster team composition, making it rely on backline carries like Ahri, Ashe, or sometimes even Zyra. Thus, the importance of frontline units like Braum becomes even greater as they will protect those damage-rich but squishy units to deal the most damage.
Jhin
Once a dominant force in the meta, Jhin has not appeared frequently in top carry positions over the past 2-3 patches. The reason is that the prevalence of reroll compositions has weakened team comps that require saving gold and leveling up to 8 early like Jhin and his allies. However, this will no longer be the case as in the upcoming Season 6.5, a series of troublesome reroll compositions will either be removed (Guardian – Marksman) or heavily nerfed due to losing key units (Assassin).

Furthermore, the stability of the Jhin – Guardian composition allows this team comp to easily dominate the meta as Season 6.5 arrives since players are already quite familiar with it. It still follows the basic playstyle with Guardians tanking in the front line and Marksmen dealing damage from the back, and this seemingly simple and outdated strategy remains extremely effective. It can be said that the Jhin – Guardian composition is the best ranking team in the early stages of the upcoming Season 6.5.
