As SBTC Esports (SE) wraps up its journey in this season’s VCS, the team has encountered numerous troubles related to its roster. First, top laner Zeros received a permanent ban from competing in the VCS and was immediately released from SE. In a recent stream, Teacher Ba revealed the damages Zeros caused to SE due to the recent scandal:
“If anyone intends to help, the total losses are estimated to be around 400-500 million, so please, everyone chip in to help me. Because due to that incident, the company suffered losses of 400-500 million already, so please help me save it.”
Not only that, Teacher Ba also mentioned that besides Zeros, support player Venus is likely to become the next member to be released from SE:
Venus will “follow in Zeros’ footsteps” according to Teacher Ba: “The team is ranked 5th, and the performance is not good. Venus just joined the team and played 1 match, then said he had personal work. Now for 3-4 weeks, we still can’t contact him, not sure what he’s busy with. Now we can’t reach him, so the company is preparing to hold a meeting and is also preparing to fire Venus. If he’s going to work like that, what’s the point of keeping him? It’s tough…”

Ultimately, after Teacher Ba’s heartfelt sharing, fans understood why when Slay could not compete, Noway was the name that replaced him, not Venus. It can be said that Venus’s actions define a lack of professionalism seen in a number of VCS players today. It will be hard for any team to want to recruit Venus after witnessing the reasons that led to his dismissal from SE this season. Many believe that Venus’s competitive career in the VCS may also end here.

In the end, the VCS Spring 2021 season concludes on a sour note for SBTC Esports, and fans of this team are very curious about which names will remain in the roster for the next season. But to find out that, we will have to wait until the transfer window opens.
