In no time, the collaboration advertisement between KLEVV and T1 has reached 3.6 million views on YouTube. “Stunning” is the best phrase to describe this TVC; the background music, colors, filming style, and lyrics make this advertisement feel like a music video with a billion-dollar investment. Not only striking poses, the T1 members also deliver some heavy pickup lines that make female fans swoon. Faker’s line “Can you turn off the lights for a moment?” is still a trending pickup line on forums.

Moreover, this advertisement is so hot that it continuously inspires others to create Parody videos on various themes: League of Legends, Anime, Culinary… Each clip is hilarious and, of course, well-invested.

Among them, the standout is probably the Parody clip with nearly a million views from Violent Poro. Inspired by the dialogues and scenes from the original TVC, titled 불 좀 꺼줄래? 패러디 애니메이션 (KLEVV x t1 MV parody animation), it expresses the feelings of a five-person team during a disastrous ranked match.
– Yasuo: “Can you turn off the lights for a moment? I want to check my match history. I just want to quit the game every time I look at it.”
– Ryze: “How am I feeling today? I’ll express it all in this chat. Solo top. Feed my way.”
(Enemies: Hey guys, what are you doing in the ancient stone altar, planning not to surrender?).
– Kai’sa: “In this chat, can I express all my feelings? AD brain dead. What the heck is support doing?”
– Leesin: “Leesin has left the game.”
– Taric: “I want to know your parents’ names…”

Yasuo, Ryze, Kai’sa, Taric, and Leesin all have an impressive KDA with a total kill count of zero. Each line is filled with despair and helplessness. The match history is entirely red, feeling like continuous losses, and the insults even wish to know each other’s parents’ names – emotions that are extremely familiar to any League of Legends player. Thousands of comments have expressed deep sympathy for the feelings of all five champions, and the views keep increasing every day.

Additionally, there are Parody clips with Anime themes, and even fried chicken brands in South Korea quickly seized the opportunity to “ride the trend.” It’s easy to see that the dialogues have been altered somewhat to fit the context, with only “Can you turn off the lights for a moment?” being retained in all clips.

On the other hand, the advertising concept of KLEVV and T1 this time has been applied by the LCK design team for match thumbnails, highlight intros, meme images… showcasing T1’s popularity and KLEVV’s success in this project. Faker, in particular, and team T1, in general, have collaborated on several advertisements before, but this can be said to be the most thoroughly invested in pre-production and post-production, the most spectacular, and the most groundbreaking idea yet.
