However, right at this moment, T1 has sparked excitement for a new beginning, with information just revealed on the team’s official Twitter page. Specifically, a few hours ago, the Twitter account of the team competing in the LCK region posted a photo featuring 2 shadowy figures along with 2 hashtags: “Comingsoon” and “T1”.
Although they have obscured the figures, fans of this team have no difficulty recognizing the familiar silhouettes. Specifically, many T1 fans have speculated that these could very well be Untara and Sky – two former members of T1 when the team was still known as SKT T1. Untara was the top laner for T1 from Summer 2017 until the end of 2018 before moving to 1907 Fenerbahçe Esports and then Griffin before retiring after the Summer 2020 season. Untara was highly regarded by Faker and coach cCarter for both his skills and attitude, but his actual performance was rather lackluster.
As for Sky, he is somewhat less well-known than Untara and only stayed with T1 for one year before moving on to RED Canis and XTEN Esports – two teams from the South American region.
It is still unknown what roles Untara and Sky will take if they join T1. While Sky has been relatively quiet since leaving his old team, Untara, with his good expertise and experience in top-tier League of Legends, could be targeted for a position in the coaching staff, such as an analyst role.
With the additions that T1 is revealing, and possibly more deals in the future, fans can feel reassured that T1 is not only preparing for the present but also gearing up for the new season. However, the battles ahead will still be extremely important, and the T1 team will need to focus intensely before thinking about anything else.
