After dropping to the lower bracket, T1 has reignited hopes of claiming the MSI 2024 title with a 3-1 victory over Team Liquid (TL). Despite facing resistance from TL, the LCK representative showcased their superior skills to overcome difficulties and move forward. T1’s upcoming match promises to be much tougher as they will face a well-known rival, G2 Esports.

In the match against TL, Zeus was considered a standout player for T1, often dominating his lane against Impact. Additionally, Zeus’s contributions to the overall gameplay were significant, utilizing champions that excel in side lanes like Camille and Vayne. Therefore, it would be expected that Zeus would receive a high rating after the win against TL.

However, the LPL audience on the Hupu forum only rated Zeus at 4.9 points in the recent match. Moreover, it’s absurd that this score is even lower than Impact’s, despite Zeus performing better in the game. This intentional “diminishing” rating of Zeus has prompted even neutral viewers to voice their opposition.

Looking back at the match between T1 and TL, viewers can easily recognize Zeus’s complete dominance in the Top Lane. Even in the third game where his team lost, Zeus still showcased superiority over his opponent in lane control, maintaining a lead of over 50 minion counts against Impact. Therefore, it is highly unfair for Zeus to receive such a low rating.

This unfair scoring likely stems from Faker and his teammates’ previous performances that disappointed the LPL audience at last year’s Worlds. Even in their opening match against EST, they were rated lower than LLA representatives despite T1 winning 2-0. It wouldn’t be surprising if this trend continues, regardless of how well the LCK representative performs.

Of course, these scores do not affect T1’s strength or achievements. What matters for the team now is to maintain their winning streak in the upcoming matches. That is the best way for T1 to assert their strength and prove that the negative assessments of them are entirely inaccurate.
